(Dave has returned from having lunch and is talking to Terry at work…)

(데이브가 점심을 먹고 돌아와 직장동료 테리와 이야기를 한다…)

Terry: So how was lunch?

테리: 그래 점심 어땠어?

Dave: Excellent! You missed a great lunch. How was your sandwich and salad?

데이브: 최고였어! 넌 맛있는 점심을 놓친 거야. 넌 샌드위치하고 샐러드 어땠어.

Terry: Good. 테리: 맛 있었어.

Dave: I love their Chinese food at The Golden Garden. Have you eaten there before?

데이브: 골든 가든의 중국 음식은 정말 맛있어. 거기서 식사한 적 있어?

Terry: Once but it was some time ago.

테리: 한 번 먹어봤는데 오래됐어.

Dave: Did anyone call while I was out?

데이브: 나 자리 비운 사이에 전화 온 거 없었어?

Terry: Yes. Your wife called. She says she's low on rice. She needs it for dinner tonight.

테리: 있었어. 부인이 전화했었어. 쌀이 거의 떨어져 간대. 오늘 저녁 지을 게 필요하다고.

Dave: Okay. I'll buy some on the way home. Anyone else call?

데이브: 알았어. 집에 가는 길에 좀 사가지고 가야겠다. 다른 사람 전화는?

Terry: No that's it.

테리: 없었어. 그게 다야.

*(one) is low on (something): (무엇이) 얼마 남지 않다.

“We’re low on orange juice. We have to buy more.”
