[현장 사진] '추모의 벽'에 쌓이는 국화 꽃

한국전 역사에 잠든 4만3808명 이름을 되새기다

 한국전쟁에서 사망한 카투사를 포함, 총 4만3808명의 미군 전사자 이름을 새긴 '추모의 벽'이 오늘 (26일) 워싱턴DC 한국전쟁 기념공원에서 공개됐다. 공식 기념식은 27일이지만 이날은 유가족 500여 명을 대상으로 전쟁에서 몸 바친 영령들의 이름이 먼저 선보인 것이다. 추모의 벽은 정쟁을 기억하는 한인, 한국인, 미국인과 그의 가족들에게 다시 한번 무겁고 깊은 메시지를 던진다. 다음은 추모의 벽 현장을 담은 사진이다. 박씨 성을 가진 전사자들의 이름도 적지 않게 보인다. [로이터]
